It has been recently brought to a lot of peoples attention that the new Rick Clunn RC Stick rip bait is a copy of the megabass Ito Vision 110. There has been millions of questions of which on is better, are they the same, is it worth the money. I have had the liberty to fish both side by side. both set ups were the same for less variables ( Abu Garcia Revo STX filled with 12# Seaguar Invisx line, Paired with a 6'8" MH XF Shimano Cumara). I used the pro blue color of each bait. When comparing out of the water the Ito seems to be a little bit heavier and a little bit wider. Same shape same beaded weight technology, although the Ito used 3 copper balls instead of the RC sticks 1 copper ball. While being out of the water I inspected the stock mechanics of the lure as well. The Ito has much better split rings and comes with barbarian outside barb hooks, the RC stick will have a lot weaker of both. While using them in the water the Ito stops a lot more abruptly, has much more erratic rip and wobble, also makes a different sound. Although the RC stick does catch fish it is in no way shape or form in the same class of rip bait as the Megabass Ito. So IN MY OPINION to answer your questions about the two baits, the Ito is much better than the RC stick in all of the categories besides the price. If you can't afford 25+ a lure than the RC stick is a great alternate but i promise you that if you pony up and make the commitment to the Ito it will pay off. As for those of you that say that the Ito breaks easily I'm not sure what rock piles you are purposely ripping them into but i haven't has a single one break and ill tell you what, I've hit some stuff with them. lol
