Welfare and unemployment

the people whom we will be addressing in this paper is partially the people, and why this is effecting them, more specifically where and how their tax money is being used. and partially to the governing bodies to help prove and help an argument against the topic. we will be able to address both sides by putting the paper in essay format and publishing is on the internet. our goal i to prove why it should be changed, and provide an example and history to how it should be changed, while adding more points to why it should be. this problem effects michigan people tremendously, all the working class pay taxes and want to know what it goes to use for, now a days every one of us knows somebody on welfare or unemployment, as common as it is.

  1. it sounds like you and tyler are working together again? i left him some things to consider about this topic. your point at the end reminds me though - because it is increasingly common for people to receive some sort of assistance, depending on how you two frame your argument you may need to aim wide. it wouldn't be enough simply to get, say, wealthy people on your side. there are plenty of lower middle class and working class folks who aren't on unemployment, but are receiving some sort of assistance (or are concerned they may need unemployment some day) and if you're thinking about this topic in a "convince the voters" sort of way, you'll have to be persuasive to those people too, and make them feel that 1) those genuinely in need won't be turned away and 2) that people will be given opportunities to get back on their feet before benefits stop.
